Dana Salzone Fine Art

“My work balances light against harmonious color combinations on spatially ambiguous canvases. It is visually engaging and contains many figures and faces, often hidden within initial layers. My use of color can evoke a wide range of emotion, from calm and soothing, to exciting and controversial. I want my work to bring life and interest to the rooms of your home.”

Dana Salzone Bio Photo

The Artist.

My name is Dana Salzone, I grew up just outside Chicago. My love of art began in grade school with frequent trips to the renowned Art Institute of Chicago. I was always drawn to Gallery 243 where the works of Claude Monet are housed.

In each painting, I carefully curate a unique palette, and make sure every inch of work flows beautifully into its neighboring space, creating the perfect marriage of color. One unique thing about me is that I paint with both hands.

I work with highly pigmented acrylic on large-scale canvas and work from my studio in Madison, NJ. I draw inspiration from old photographs my late grandmother Jeanne took in Monet’s gardens in the 1970s.

You can find my work featured in homes and offices across the country, as well as several fine art galleries.

 What People Are Saying

  • Something magical happens when someone is able to speak to your soul without saying a word. Never was that more true than the moment I saw the painting for the first time. After a battle through IVF to motherhood, I met with Dana in an attempt to freeze a moment in time that was very sacred to me. Within seconds of meeting her, I knew that she understood what I was trying to capture, and her energy and passion were not only contagious but poured over the canvas. She gave me more than just a painting. She gave me a window into myself that will always bring me back to a time I never want to forget.

  • I am a proud collector of several paintings by Dana Salzone. Not only is her artwork beautiful but her timeliness and care to incorporate the piece within a specific space are unmatched. I look forward to following her bright career.

    Courtney Reed

  • Loved working with Dana. She requested our color preference to fit the room we were decorating. It’s a commercial space with traditional finishes, and she was willing to deviate from her normal palette to accommodate a farm image while still maintaining her signature style. The results were better than expected. She even shipped the painting to us across the country. We will certainly commission another piece in the future.

  • Bold yet serene, this custom commission makes our wall come to life. With colors incorporated from the surrounding spaces in our home along with fiery pops of vibrant hot pink- this work of art is EXACTLY what our family room needed. It completes the space and is the focal point of the room.

A seamless and exciting experience of the ultimate curation of custom art- Dana takes careful note of elements that are important to you, which she then brings to life on the canvas. Bursting with personal touches and unique detail, I love that this one-of-a-kind masterpiece will evoke joy every time we enter the room.

    Stefani Werring

  • It’s hard to put into words how much I love my artwork from Dana. She is an amazing person and it is so awesome to watch someone succeed at doing what they were meant to do. She is a great listener and puts my words and ideas into a visual masterpiece that my entire family loves. It is more beautiful than I imagined and sparks joy every time I catch a glimpse of it. Dana and her craft are a true gift to anyone who has the opportunity to own a piece of her time and talent.
